The verification step is a separate stateless multimodal call that sees only the red-box-annotated screenshot, never the edit history or the model's own reasoning, and a pass is what advances the baseline. Warm renders take about 0.6 seconds against a 1 to 2 minute cold start per session. It is macOS-only by construction and honest about gaps: resaving .xlsx files drops existing charts and images via openpyxl, and tracked changes, comments, footnotes and TOC updates are unsupported.
