The approach is reversible computing: retain information from intermediate computation steps rather than erase it, so the energy normally dumped as heat is recycled. The company has raised over $12M and is at proof-of-concept, now working on folding the design into existing manufacturing flows; outside experts say it needs a series of increasingly realistic demonstrations before industry commits.
