Published today, Crunchbase reports that through April 2026, US venture funding already matches all of 2025's total, with 80% flowing to $500M+ rounds across just 29 companies. In 2025, 70% (~$200B) went to 389 companies raising $100M+, with $90B concentrated in just 6 companies each raising over $5B. Sub-$100M rounds still grew ~$8B YoY, but rounds under $10M declined — the market is bifurcating where mid-stage survives but early-stage struggles for attention.
