Codex for Mac (v26.519, May 21) introduced Appshots — pressing both Command keys captures the frontmost app window as a screenshot plus all available text (visible and scrollable) and sends it directly to Codex. This eliminates copy-paste for cross-app context: design tools, browser tabs, terminal output, documentation viewers all become one-keystroke context sources. Goal mode also graduated to GA across the Codex app, IDE extension, and CLI, enabling multi-hour/multi-day autonomous coding toward defined objectives.
