LLM-Driven Two-Agent Architecture Outperforms Single Agent for Physics-Constrained Engineering Models
New arXiv paper (2605.23754) demonstrates that a two-agent LLM architecture significantly outperforms single-agent approaches for developing constitutive models (materials science/engineering). The specialized dual-agent system where one agent handles constraint formulation and the other handles code generation shows that multi-agent architectures with role separation can match years of specialized human expertise in constrained scientific domains. Pattern implication: for tasks requiring both domain constraint reasoning and implementation, two specialized agents beat one generalist.
