BNP Paribas Partners Mistral AI to Build Cybersecurity Defenses Against Mythos-Class AI Threats
Europe's largest bank renewed its Mistral AI partnership for another three years, shifting focus to cybersecurity. Mistral is developing a dedicated cybersecurity-focused AI model for European banks in response to Anthropic's restricted-access Mythos system, which produced working exploits on first attempt 83% of the time in controlled testing. Bloomberg reports Mistral is in discussions with several financial institutions beyond BNP Paribas for deployment.
