EviACT: Evidence-Driven Guardrails Make Agentic Program Repair Actually Work at Repo Scale
arXiv·medium signal
Meng et al. propose EviACT, an agentic automated program repair framework that coordinates three evidence-driven guardrails: a retrieval scaffold for grounding repair context, a compile gate for filtering invalid edits before execution, and a validation harness. The framework addresses a key gap in existing agentic APR systems: they struggle to use execution evidence to guide localization, patch generation, and validation across repository-level repairs.
