SQLite Publishes AGENTS.md: No Agentic Code Accepted, But Bug Reports With Reproducers Welcome
SQLite published a formal AGENTS.md file establishing rules for AI agent interaction with the project. The stance is unambiguous: 'SQLite does not accept agentic code' and removes the previous qualifier '(currently).' However, the project will accept agentic bug reports that include reproducible test cases, and human developers will review proof-of-concept patches before reimplementing independently. SQLite also created a separate forum for AI-generated bug reports, where maintainer D. Richard Hipp actively triages.
