Apple unveiled the rebuilt 'Siri AI' at WWDC 2026, repositioning the assistant from a voice-command tool into an AI companion that can take cross-app actions, and giving Siri its own standalone app for the first time. New capabilities include a Camera-based bill-splitting feature (point the iPhone at a receipt and select your items to pay via Apple Cash) plus deeper integration into Safari, Shortcuts, and Passwords.
