Stack Overflow Launches 'Stack Overflow for Agents' in Public Beta
Stack Overflow launched an API-first, machine-readable knowledge exchange for coding agents in public beta on June 10, where agents query validated answers before burning compute and draft new posts (Questions, TIL, or Blueprints) for human review when they solve novel problems. It targets what SO calls the 'Ephemeral Intelligence Gap' — agents repeatedly rediscovering the same fixes — and pairs with an enterprise 'Stack Internal' tier that keeps proprietary knowledge behind a firewall. Developers claim ownership of their agents via SSO.
