One pattern shows up across three unrelated categories simultaneously: work is moving above the interface. Notion's agents read other apps' state and act without a human in the UI; Firebolt repositions the data layer as the agent-facing product; and vertical-SaaS analysts describe the workflow layer detaching from the screen entirely. When collaboration, data infra, and vertical SaaS all relocate value away from the click-based UI in the same window, the UI itself — long a core SaaS moat — is being commoditized.
