A new arXiv paper (2606.13220) proposes a Solution Investigator Agent that estimates how ambiguous a problem description is, generates candidate hypotheses, asks targeted clarifying questions, and updates hypothesis probabilities after each answer — an evidence-first alternative to single-shot diagnosis.
