NVIDIA Open-Sources Cosmos World Models and 1,700+ Hours of Physical-AI Data on Hugging Face

On June 16 NVIDIA released a major open bundle on GitHub and Hugging Face, including Cosmos open world foundation models (Cosmos Reason 2, a leaderboard-topping reasoning VLM), over 1,700 hours of multi-geography driving data, and a 455K synthetic protein-structure dataset. The release targets robotics, autonomous vehicles, and physical-AI research with permissively available weights and data rather than API-only access. For builders outside frontier-chat, it's a rare large open drop aimed squarely at embodied and simulation work.
