Vercel launched Eve, an open-source TypeScript-native agent framework, on June 17, 2026 at its Ship 26 conference in London. In Eve every agent is a directory of files that compiles to a durable production service on Vercel Functions — session state persisted and replayed via Vercel Workflow, sandboxed compute via Vercel Sandbox, and OpenTelemetry observability built in by default. It is model-agnostic, routing all requests through Vercel's AI Gateway without changing orchestration logic.
