Dixit et al. evaluate secure RF and WiFi UAV-to-UAV and UAV-to-ground communication for drone swarms via testbed implementation, focusing on the security weaknesses of MAVLink, the dominant UAV protocol whose message integrity guarantees are limited. The work measures performance of secured communication under real swarm coordination. Applied security signal for the drone/edge-robotics space.
