Prompt models to track uncertainty propagation for calibrated analytical outputs

Rather than asking only for an answer, explicitly instruct the model to reason about how uncertainty compounds across each step of a chain of reasoning. On complex analytical tasks this yields significantly more calibrated outputs — the model surfaces where confidence degrades instead of asserting a shaky conclusion with false certainty. Cheap to add (one clause in the system prompt) and directly useful for research, forecasting, or risk-scoring agents.
