As of Claude Code v2.1.207, auto mode is on by default for Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Foundry with no opt-in flag required, which changes agent behavior for teams on those platforms. If you want deterministic, confirmation-gated runs, explicitly set disableAutoMode in settings rather than relying on the old CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_AUTO_MODE being unset.
