Claude Code v2.1.207 making Auto mode the default on Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Foundry is part of a broader move to ship autonomous-by-default in managed environments. Tellingly, the same release fixed a consent-dialog bypass for non-interactive runs — as autonomy becomes the default, guardrail and consent-UX correctness becomes the load-bearing safety layer rather than the manual opt-in.
