Microsoft Agent Framework shipped python-1.11.0 on July 10, 2026, stabilizing the Skills API out of experimental (production-ready) and adding Progressive MCP Disclosure — agents can discover, load, and unload MCP tool schemas on demand within security boundaries — plus message-injection middleware that queues messages into active runs for mid-run steering. These target two live pain points: MCP tool-context bloat and steering long-running sessions. Progressive disclosure aligns with the stateless direction of the upcoming 2026-07-28 MCP spec.
