Anthropic ships Claude Code stability update, Claude for Teachers, and self-serve HIPAA

Around July 14-15, Anthropic launched Claude for Teachers (free year of premium access for verified US K-12 educators, aligned to standards in all 50 states), added self-serve HIPAA configuration for Enterprise/API orgs with one-step BAA enablement, and shipped a broad Claude Code update: subagent text streaming, better permission/upload handling, improved background-agent reporting, faster terminal rendering, and session-recovery fixes across Chrome, Windows, Bedrock, and Vertex. The Claude Code changes matter most for agentic-coding workflows.
