NFSA: Non-Forward Secure Aggregation With a Single Server via Two-Layer Secret Sharing
arXiv·low signal
Server-based secure-aggregation protocols in federated learning typically force the server to forward sensitive shares between users, raising communication overhead and leakage risk. NFSA uses two-layer secret sharing to achieve secure aggregation with one server while avoiding that forwarding step. Of interest to engineers deploying privacy-preserving FL who want lower comms cost without a trusted broker.
