RegattaDB launches as a database purpose-built for AI agents
On July 15, 2026, Regatta announced RegattaDB, positioning it as a database designed around agent access patterns — concurrent multi-agent reads/writes, memory, and state — rather than retrofitting a traditional OLTP store. It joins a wave of agent-native data infrastructure (Yugabyte Meko, Cloudflare Agent Memory) targeting the multi-agent memory-and-knowledge problem. As a launch-day vendor announcement it's early and unbenchmarked, but it reflects the maturing view that agent workloads warrant their own storage layer.
