NVIDIA announced July 20 that Bristol Myers Squibb is standing up a Vera Rubin-based 'AI factory' — internally nicknamed the 'SuperDuperPOD' by BMS's Erin Davis — on top of what is already one of the largest AI clusters in life sciences. It is one of the first named Vera Rubin production deployments outside the hyperscalers. Signals that pharma R&D is now buying frontier-class compute directly rather than renting it.
