MCP loosens session IDs to a stateless server model
TechCrunch reports the Model Context Protocol is adopting a looser, 'stateless' approach to session IDs on the server side, closer to how ordinary websites already handle sessions. For builders shipping MCP servers, this removes a class of session-affinity and sticky-routing problems that made horizontal scaling awkward. It is a spec ergonomics change, not a capability change — but it lowers the operational cost of running MCP in production.
