ClouDens: Operational Context Cuts False Positives in Cloud Monitoring Anomaly Detection
Thu T. H. Doan, Mohammad Saiful Islam and Andriy Miranskyy propose ClouDens (arXiv 2607.18127, cs.NI/cs.LG), which conditions network anomaly detection on operational context — scheduled maintenance, deploys, known load patterns — for large-scale cloud monitoring. The premise is that context-free detectors drown operators in alerts that are anomalous but expected. That framing maps directly onto the alerting problem in any agent pipeline that pages a human on statistical deviation.
