MCP lands inside the creative toolchain: Blender, Houdini 22, Unreal, and Adobe announce protocol connections at SIGGRAPH
At NVIDIA's July 20 SIGGRAPH keynote, Blender, Houdini 22, Unreal Engine, and Adobe announced Model Context Protocol connections that let agents operate directly inside design and production tools rather than through file exports. NVIDIA framed it alongside a deskside agent supercomputer tying Omniverse, Blender, and Nemotron into a single local runtime. MCP crossing from developer tooling into DCC applications is a meaningful adoption milestone — it makes 3D and media pipelines an agent surface, and it widens the prompt-injection blast radius to scene files and asset metadata.
