Vercel MCP server now supports in-conversation purchases
Vercel's MCP server can now execute purchases — upgrading a team to Pro, adding prepaid v0 or AI Gateway credits, and buying the SIEM add-on — directly from an agent conversation. This is one of the first mainstream MCP servers to expose write operations that move money rather than read-only or provisioning tools. It sharpens an open MCP question: the protocol has no standard consent or spend-limit primitive, so the guardrails are entirely the host application's problem.
