Cherry Studio Adds Agent Skills and an 'awesome-skills' Registry to a 300-Assistant Desktop Client

CherryHQ/cherry-studio (~48.9K stars, TypeScript) now carries agent-skills, awesome-skills, claude-code and codex among its topics, layering autonomous agents and a skill registry onto what began as a multi-provider chat client with 300+ assistants. The move from 'assistants' (prompt presets) to 'skills' (invocable procedures with tools) inside the same product is the clearest illustration of how quickly the skills primitive escaped Claude Code and became a general desktop-client feature.
