Box at 11% and DocuSign at 9% Are the Control Group: Mature Horizontal SaaS Is Growing at Half the Rate of AI-Attached Platforms
This week's enterprise SaaS earnings roundup put Box at $305.9M revenue (+11% YoY) and DocuSign at +9% with a $3.5B FY2027 outlook — steady, unremarkable, and roughly half ServiceNow's 23% constant-currency subscription growth reported the same week. Neither company reported an AI revenue line, and neither cut guidance; they simply grew at mature-category rates. That is the useful baseline for reading every other AI-SaaS claim this quarter: the gap between 9–11% and 23% is what 'AI attach' is actually worth right now, and it is a multiple, not a rounding error.
