/common-ground Skill: Surface Claude's Assumptions at Session Start Before Any Code Changes
Hacker News (Show HN: Claude Skills)·medium signal
The /common-ground skill from Jeff Allan's 65-skill Claude Code system forces Claude to enumerate its architectural assumptions about the project before taking any action — surfaces wrong mental models that would otherwise silently propagate through the session. Run it at the start of every complex session, review the output, and correct any misalignments before proceeding. The underlying pattern (assumption-surfacing before execution) is the technique; the skill is one implementation. Repository: github.com/jeffallan/claude-skills.
