Cashboard Raises $5M Seed to Put a Governed Semantic Layer Between AI Models and FP&A
AlleyWatch·medium signal
Cashboard closed a $5M seed led by FINTOP with TTV Capital participating, bringing total funding to $6.9M, for a financial planning and analysis platform that gives finance teams a governed semantic layer so AI models can automate recurring FP&A work. The architectural bet is the notable part: rather than an AI feature bolted onto a planning tool, the product is the governance and semantics that make finance data safe for a model to act on. It is the same shape as Databricks' Genie Ontology and Snowflake's certified skills, arriving now in the Anaplan/Pigment/Adaptive tier of the market.
