Nvidia Is Raising GeForce RTX Package Prices 20 to 30 Percent, the Third Hike of 2026, and This Time It Covers the Entire Lineup
Taiwan's Economic Daily News reports Nvidia is raising prices on the GPU packages it sells to board partners, which bundle the chip and its graphics memory, by 20 to 30 percent. Unlike the two earlier 2026 increases this one spans the whole GeForce RTX range rather than only halo parts. The driver is DRAM: Samsung is lifting prices roughly 20 percent for Q3 2026 across GDDR6 and GDDR7, and a 3GB GDDR7 module now runs $60 to $70, about three times a 2GB module. Retail is already moving, with an Asus RTX 5080 going from $1,199 to $1,595 on Amazon, and market observers expect the shortage to persist into 2028.
