AgentToolMO Proposes a 3GPP Information Model So Vendor A's Agents Stop Calling Vendor B's Compromised Tool
A paper posted 2026-07-28 (arXiv 2607.25914) identifies a concrete gap in autonomous network management: at Autonomous Network Levels 4-5 agents invoke tools across vendor boundaries without human oversight, but no standard mechanism gives cross-vendor trust visibility, so when a tool from one vendor is compromised, agents from another keep invoking it unaware. AgentToolMO is a proposed 3GPP NRM information model comprising a formally defined trust state machine with graduated enforcement, damped cascade propagation with bounded convergence, cross-vendor trust notifications over existing Management Services interfaces, and retroactive impact assessment via NRM dependency-graph traversal. Simulations across multi-vendor topologies show blast radius shrinking from hours-scale undetected propagation to near-real-time containment, with sub-linear notification scaling.
