Y Combinator Open-Sources 'qm', a Multiplayer Agent Harness, and It Takes 5,917 Stars in Three Days
yc-software/qm launched 2026-07-29 under MIT and already has 5,917 stars, 615 forks and 74 open issues, a velocity near 1,972 stars/day that makes it the fastest-climbing new agent repo of the week. It is a headless TypeScript/Fastify core on Postgres that gives every person in an org an isolated sandbox with scoped memory, files and permissions, then shares work through Slack and a Vite/Lit web UI; the harness itself is swappable across Pi, OpenCode, Codex and Claude Code. Releases v0.1.2 through v0.1.4 all shipped on 2026-07-31, it self-hosts to Fly or AWS via 'qm init', and the README concedes an org picks one security posture globally.
