Cequence Ships "Agentic Zero Trust" — One Agent-Bound Identity Across MCP, LLM and API Calls
Cequence Security's July 30 release adds four registries to AI Gateway (AI Discovery, API Registry, LLM Registry, Skill Registry) and upgrades Agent Personas so an agent's stated job description is bound directly to its model, tools, data access and guardrails, enforced by policy rather than convention. LLM Registry governs every call to and from a model; API Registry governs how agents reach backend services. The explicit goal is letting non-technical business users stand up governed agents without touching the gateway — which is the same least-privilege-without-credentials problem Okta bought Permiso to solve, now appearing as a native feature rather than an acquisition.
