Zen Whisper hit #5 on August 2 with 148 points ('on-device Mac dictation that types into any app'), then Snapdown took #7 on August 3 with 109 points (turn anything on your Mac screen into clean Markdown) and yapyap took #8 with 106 points ('Own your voice again. Local-first voice & meeting recorder'). Three different categories — dictation, screen capture, meeting recording — all shipped as local processing against incumbents whose entire business is a cloud seat. The economics builders should note: once the model runs on the device, the recurring-revenue justification for these categories collapses to support and sync, which is a much smaller business than the one being displaced.
