GitHub Copilot Automations Can Now Be Triggered by Issue and PR Comments
Released Aug 3, you can configure Copilot cloud agent automations that fire when an issue or PR comment matching custom text is created, set up under the repo's Agents tab → Automations. GitHub's named use cases are auto-updating docs from code changes, investigating stack traces and logs, and filing follow-up tech-debt issues. Copilot Business and Enterprise require an admin to enable the cloud agent policy first — worth noting that any commenter with write access effectively becomes an agent trigger.
