Head of Claude Code Puts a Number on Internal Adoption: '85% of Our Engineers Are Running Dozens or Hundreds of Agents'
A 40-minute talk from Boris Cherny, creator and head of Claude Code at Anthropic, is circulating on X this week with the line: '85% of our engineers are running dozens — or even hundreds — of agents. The way you do it is graph engineering.' The clip is being shared independently by multiple accounts and frames graph engineering as the mechanism by which one engineer now covers what previously required a team. The 85% figure is the first specific internal adoption number attached to the graph-engineering pattern that has been circulating in name only since late July.
