Digger's OpenComputer Previews Serverless Agents That Hibernate With Memory and Filesystem Intact
Digger co-founder and CTO Mohamed Habib opened an early preview of OpenComputer serverless agents on August 4, announced via X and covered by RuntimeWire. Each deployment runs on a full Linux VM rather than a short-lived function; the machine hibernates between invocations preserving memory, filesystem and working context, resumes on the next trigger, and idle agents incur no compute charges. The quickstart flow - opencomputer CLI, template init, define instructions and approval boundaries, connect a Google account, test locally, then opencomputer deploy --alias production for an immutable deployment behind a stable agent identity - reads as an attempt to give agents Heroku-grade DX without taking the durable machine away.
