Jason Lemkin Argues the AI Agent Should Chair the Board Meeting, Not Attend It
In an August 3 SaaStr post, Lemkin opens with a three-hour board meeting where the first two hours were wasted on 30 slides nobody had read, and proposes handing the analytical half of the agenda to an agent that reviews financials line by line, benchmarks against current competitor data, assesses team performance and flags gaps in the materials before anyone sits down. He cites an existing tool, '10K,' already running as an AI VP of Marketing in his weekly leadership standups, pulling every number and leading the discussion. Treat this as an opinion piece rather than a product launch, but it names an unserved category: board and governance SaaS still sells document repositories when the expensive part of a board meeting is the analysis nobody did in advance.
