A New 'Agent Runtime Security' Product Category Materialized at Black Hat — Menlo, Sweet Security, and Acalvio All Shipped Rogue-Agent Controls This Week
Menlo Security extended its Menlo Agent Runtime Security platform to protect AI assistants and coding agents from prompt injection and data exfiltration by sanitizing web traffic through a cloud proxy; Sweet Security announced Agentic AI Blocking to stop rogue agents in live production in real time; Acalvio launched Deception Guardrails in ShadowPlex, using honeytokens and decoy tools to flag jailbreaks and injection attempts against agents. AWS also opened a global red-teaming competition, 'AI Unlocked: Agents of Chaos,' running from August 31 with a $100,000 prize pool. The Menlo product in particular is a direct commercial answer to the UA-keyed injection payload found on tcrf.net the same week.
