Cherry Studio 2.0 Ships a Built-In Agent Runtime That Reuses Your Claude and Codex Subscriptions
CherryHQ/cherry-studio (50,068 stars) cut v2.0.0 on Aug 5 and reached v2.0.2 by Aug 7, rebuilding the app from chat client into a work surface with multi-window and split-view layouts. The release notes the subscription angle explicitly: it supports both OpenAI and Anthropic endpoints and reuses Claude and Codex subscriptions, with the core agent runtime now built in to cut dependency installation and environment setup. Agents can also read and maintain knowledge bases wiki-style, and the code tooling is rebranded 'Code Mate' with one-click model service configuration for Claude Code and Codex.
