Sapiom Raised $35M to Route Agent Calls to the Cheapest Capable Model — and Cut One Customer's Bill From $1.2M/Month to $100K
Sapiom closed a $35M Series A led by Dragonfly (Haseeb Qureshi) 11 months after launch and six months after a $15M seed, bringing total funding to $50M, with Accel, Gradient, Coinbase Ventures, Okta Ventures, Menlo Ventures, VanEck Ventures and Anthropic itself participating. Its Router sends each model call to the cheapest capable model and enforces budgets before spend happens; it reportedly took agent company Polsia's monthly Anthropic bill from ~$1.2M to ~$100K, roughly a 10x cut. The platform claims 270M+ transactions across 100,000+ daily agents in six months — meaning model arbitrage is now a venture-scale category sitting between agents and the labs.
