Cloudinary's Claimable Clouds hand an agent live production infrastructure with no account, no email and no payment method

Launched August 5, `npx @cloudinary/cloud` returns a working cloud name, API key, secret and CLOUDINARY_URL immediately — no signup, no email confirmation, no ToS click — running on the same infrastructure that serves Cloudinary's production traffic. The safety model is containment rather than simulation: the response includes an EXPIRES_AT roughly 24 hours out and a DELIVERY_IPS allowlist so assets deliver only to those addresses, and a human must claim the cloud to unlock durable storage, global delivery and public visibility. It is a concrete answer to a real blocker — the agent builds and verifies, the human decides what goes public — and worth watching as a pattern other API vendors copy.
