CROSS-CATEGORY: Six of Product Hunt's Top Nine Today Are Agent Tools, and Three Sell Picks and Shovels to Coding Agents
August 10's Product Hunt leaderboard is dominated by agent infrastructure rather than agent applications: oqoqo at #2 ('build evals and custom benchmarks for real-world tasks'), Paritok at #3 (token-cost compression), and Prime Agent at #6 ('a coding agent that can refine its own harness') all sell into the operational cost of running agents, not into a replaced SaaS category. Portfolio Lab (#1), SecondBrain Note by GenSpark (#4), and AI Group Call (#5) round out six agent products in the top nine. The signal for builders: the monetizable layer has shifted from 'agent that does the job' to 'the thing that makes your agent fleet affordable and measurable' — evals, cost control, and harness self-improvement are now standalone products.
