CROSS-CATEGORY: Four of Product Hunt's Top Nine Today Are Competing Coding-Agent Harnesses, One Built by Spotify
August 11's Product Hunt leaderboard has Xirp from Spotify at #4 (116 upvotes), Bullet at #5 (113), bb at #6 (101) and Octomind Cloud and Hub at #9 (96) — four distinct products in one day all selling the orchestration layer above coding agents rather than a coding agent. Three of them explicitly advertise multi-model routing: bb orchestrates Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode; Octomind bundles 27 models behind one login with no API keys and per-second billing; Xirp is vendor-neutral across Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Codex. The pattern that matters is the pricing convergence hiding inside it — when the harness owns model selection, the underlying model vendor loses the customer relationship and the harness becomes the billable surface.
