Agentic Configuration Management Proposes a Versioned Governance Model for Agents, Prompts, Tools, Skills and Policies
The authors argue that agentic systems are now composed of heterogeneous agents, prompts, tools, models, skills, composite subsystems, policies and execution workflows whose configurations drift across frameworks and runtime environments. Existing LLMOps and AgentOps platforms handle orchestration and observability but provide no common configuration-governance model for treating these as coherent, versioned configurations. ACM is offered as a reference configuration model to fill that gap — conceptual framework rather than measured system, so its value is as vocabulary for teams whose agent config has sprawled across YAML, markdown and code.
