Three unrelated categories converged on the same framing between August 11 and 12: xAI's Grok Bot sells persistent agents that do end-to-end jobs and only return for approval; Procurify rebuilt its procure-to-pay platform around agents that intake, code, and process invoices autonomously; and Strattam Capital published how portfolio company HireRoad rewrote its legacy HR product in 15 weeks instead of 18 months by redesigning roles around AI rather than adding AI to existing roles. None of the three is positioned as a feature — all three are positioned as work that no longer needs a person. The tell is that the productivity claims jump from the 10–30% band that tool-adoption produces into the 3x-and-up band that only reorganization produces.
