Trunk Tools Went From 2 Construction Agents to More Than 10 in a Year, With 4x Revenue Growth and 3.5x on Track for This Year
Crunchbase profiled Trunk Tools on August 13: founded 2021 by Sarah Buchner, a former teenage carpenter turned general contractor, it has raised about $70M including a $40M Series B in 2025 at a $325M valuation from Insight Partners, Redpoint and Innovation Endeavors, and now employs over 100 people. Its agents parse the 3 to 4 million pages of fragmented documentation on a typical project, reviewing contracts, flagging inconsistencies and assisting with specs and bidding; one contractor used it to catch that a requested change would add $4M to a $100M project. Revenue grew fourfold last year and is tracking 3.5x this year, and Buchner notes product expansion now outpaces the company's ability to train customers on it, which is the real ceiling in vertical SaaS rather than model capability.
