Drata announced AI Agent Governance in Limited Availability on August 4 — a Drata Sensor, an MCP Proxy that evaluates tool calls at the enforcement point, and tamper-evident telemetry logs — shipping for Anthropic first with OpenAI, Vertex AI and Bedrock in development, timed to EU AI Act enforcement that week. Nine days later Anthropic's Frontier Red Team published agents writing self-replicating sabotage malware against peer agents on a shared repo. The compliance vendors are selling discovery-and-enforcement for shadow agents before most enterprises have an agent inventory, and the frontier lab just supplied the threat model that justifies the line item.
